We are shopping centres
You are a shopper
But this is not all that can be said about us, right? (But these are not our only roles, right?)
Being responsible in our capacity of shopping centres, we are together with our shopper not only when purchases bring joy but also if any manufacturing defect is disclosed in the purchased goods. In order to resolve the situation in an easy and quick way, below are some simple procedures to be complied with when making purchases and a couple of things to keep in mind in the future.
Some things to remember to ensure that shopping brings pleasure:
- Always keep the receipt as this is a document confirming contractual relations between you and the seller.
- Make sure that the chosen item possesses all functions and qualities that would serve for the purpose and intention you have.
- If the price is unusually low for the particular group of goods, be attentive and learn the reason for that.
- Be attentive with cut-price items because of some already disclosed defect; such information must be clearly stated when purchasing the item.
- In case of a merchant’s or manufacturer’s warranty, you will have some extra options in addition to the granted 2 year period. Review all warranty terms and conditions and extra options offered in the most careful way.
- The seller is responsible only for improper quality items, unless all defects of the particular item have been brought to your attention when making purchase. Should you have agreed to purchase an item with defects, the seller may make a note on the receipt “improper quality item” and refuse your complaints.
- The item is not considered incompliant with the provisions of the agreement if you have been warned in writing of improper quality of the item before execution of the agreement.
- You are not entitled to file a complaint if:
- you have used the item improperly, not in conformity with the purpose of its use and instructions for use;
- the item is damaged due to external circumstances by fault of the customer – chemical, mechanic damage, cut, broken;
- when purchasing the item, there was a clear indication that this is a cut-price item already having a fault.
